Hail to the king, baby!
I was just wondering where these guys finished... I am talking of course of former Australian technical-death metallers DRED that, following a regeneration process, have become the current OUROBOROS.
I remember talking with... I think it was the singer Evegeny... some time ago, who told me about this plan. I have not yet got a copy of the new album "Glorification of a Myth", but what you can get from the available on-line trial streamings is quite a killing machine. Ten tracks of technical-death delirium, four of which comes stright from their magnificent previous "A path to extinction" EP. I still have the copy that they most kindly sent me somewhere back in time... a laser guided precision grinder. Fantastic! Yet new productions enhancement got everything way more perfect! And the cover also is cool! I'm already drooling.
Check it out on their Myspace site and in the vids below.

Some more intriguing stuff...
EXELOUME is a must and it is going to kick you butt seriously, while you may pass the hand on LIV MOON, as lyrics are in Japanese and you have a female singer on the mic (not completely devoid of originality, though). The rest is for a more old-mood listening. JUDAS PRIEST is a relatively rare soundboard bootleg of high quality, recorded in Japan in 1978. Wort-giving a spin!

For your schedule...
For the interested sailor...
HELLHOUND will be playing in Sendai tonight (actually they may be doing it right now), toghether with WILD FRONTIER , ARGUMENT SOUL , AZRAEL, REFION 13 , SKULL FUCK at Sendai PARK SQUARE, Miyagi in "Sound of Death Vol. 10", presented by Wild Frontier. I was supposed to get up there with them, but some rescheduling had me to pass it.
Next chance to get them live will be on June, 26th at Shinjuku's Wild Side Tokyo, during MANIPULATED SLAVES' "Storm of Damnation Tour 2011".
On the same June, 26th , at Kichijouji's Crescendo Live House there will be "Slam vol. 47",with SERENITY IN MURDER, a new young melo-death m. band Cpt. started liking very much! I will see if I manage to get both of them. In meantime, check them out on their homepage and on Myspace, where you can find a sample of the awesome "Infact Bellum" track, from their forthcoming album. Fasten your belts...!

New SAXON's almost out...
New SAXON album is almost out (June 6th).
Fancy what's is going to be from Rock Gig Reviews's description, as I am not going to repeat what they says...
All what I can say is that I am listening to it right now and it is 'pure' SAXON 200%. Burning, nasty, yet so classic! As Biff says, probably their best and more felt work.
Old farts metal-heads never get rusty! Like good whiskey, with time they get only better and better!

A couple of suggestions for your listening...
I did not yet made up my mind about the new UDO. It has a quite 'nasty' sound, but on the whole it seems a bit repetitive. The other stuff is for a lighter - but very nice - listening!

METALイズ鉄 vol.4 (22-5-2011 Club Liner, Koenji)
A few pics form the last HELLHOUND's howling at Club Liner, Koenji, Tokyo.
A very small place with no appeal whatsoever, except for the fact that smoking in front of the stage was not allowed (thing that Cpt. appreciated very much)!
On the list, together with a couple of other playing folks I don't quite need to recall, IRON THUMB, very skilled, but rather 'demential' Tokyo's band (you need to crunch some Japanese to enjoy their jokes...). Anyway, awesome, as usual! Singing volume a bit low maybe...
Stay tuned. More to come...
