Hei, hei!
I must have gone totally ballistic after coming back from Italy.
Why I didn't know anything about this gig on August...?
And for my birthday?

STEEL MEETS STEEL Vol. 8
Howdy!
Did not make on time, yesterday, to get the whole show, but I managed to get the best: MASTERMIND! "Steel Meets Steel Vol. 8", at Crescendo Live House (Mastermind / MARGE LITCH / ABSOLUTE / OUTSIDE / KiLL Diabo). And it was worth the rain I took to get there!
Yoshiyuki Watari, back on the guitar after a convalescence period, shredded everybody into pieces! Killer performance for all of them! And during the show, TV filming: possibly some kind of footage will be avalable in time, even if... there were rumors that it was for a program about how bad head-banging is for the health!!! Whatever...
Got some trouble with the camera card, but here are some pics.
Stay tuned!

BOOTY
Here we go again!
Need to fix the damn server, but before that... intro to some goodies for metal-sailors.
Simply A•M•A•Z•I•N•G! Get it absolutely. This album engulfs all the early sub-genres of Metal in the 80s, blends them and spins them into gold, which is well worth the experience. A perfect follow to the likewise ablazing predecessor "Freedom Fighter" (2005). And it kicks in with perfect timing in the New Wave of Old School Metal riding the waves of the metal sea lately.
Hei, these dudes from Boston have been around since 1995 with ONLY 1 album prior to this one: the others are all EPs and Lives disc. In short, a pure live act! Production's good, crunchy£ing mid-tempo rythm, freaky riffs and a fucking 'evil gremlin'-like singing I love! After listening to it, you'll be craving to see them live! Start with "Shredder" and "Into the Shackles" and then you're good for the rest.
Dudes, when you listen to somebody covering ADX, that means you've got to slow down and consider the possibility that what you've got in the hands (and ears) may be quite valuable! And indeed E.O. qualifies for the Cpt. library. Nothing absolutely new or that may leave a new mark on the scene in what stays around the ADX cover. Yet they cripple you with a very cool mix of riffs and clichè lyrics, able to give you really an enjoyable banging time. I think it is since the times of DREAM EVIL - which I liked very much - I didn't happen to stumble upon something so classic, yet so refreshing. Hei-hei...! And wanna know what? They played live with HELLHOUND too, last year. Check them out.
If you don't know them, prepare your ass for Ctp. boot! 8 long years they had us to wait for "Electrify". But luckily awesome German thrashers Paradox delivered their 5th just one year after! These 10 new syringes of electrified progressive thrash metal will have you banging your head to death! No doubt. Fasten seat-belts and enjoy the boast which starts with "Suburban Riot Squad" and that drags you in juggernaut momentum through the rest of this marvelous metal treasure box. This is real modern thrash metal, which looks backward only to smile and nod at its rich past, then turns face and marches into the future, where it will be kicking asses for time to come.
Opensesami is always the same.
Cpt., out!

STORY OF ANVIL
Alive, at last!
Dudes, don't loose hope! As Lips uses to say: "It's never too late".
And I'm still here... 'plugged in permanent'.
The Story of Anvil, fantastic documentary-movie by Sasha Gervasi about Anvil's career, is about to be released here in Japan too, at last. And yesterday night I went for an advance preview with another 999 people at Club Zepp, Tokyo. Well, actually I already had a copy of it, since in US it got out quite some time ago and we've. Yet, since I knew it comes with 'additional features', such as after-movie band performance and band meeting, I wouldn't have missed it for any new Egyptian relief. But I went close to it...!
The attendance was lottery based: not for the movie, for 100 people only band meeting!!!
Well, can you believe it? Cpt. got left out! So I had to turn to the broderhood to gain access (access kindly provided by Crossfire of Hellhound). Anyway, nice evening.
It started with a wonderful sunset on Tokyo seaside. Went on with Tokyo's metal-head dirty dozen chit-chat; then the movie... two tracks band performance... and then, when all losers went home, band and director meeting, for the mighty 100, kicked in. Very cool! Love the guys. Check out Cpt. exclusive 'Atsushi tribute' footage too! Who's Atsushi??!! Watch the vid!

SERVICE COMMUNICATION 2
I re-established access.
Evidently, last OS update sealed completely every possible hole.
I can't even open a different or preferential lane: down the pants, in few words...

Long time no booty!
Sailors...!
A very quick post, just not to let you down for too long.
While Pipes is still missing in action, looking after his new daddy-duties, and J13 is bouncing from gig to gig (getting back to work in the sparetime...!), Cpt. tried to keep polished and up-to-date his metal armor with a good deal of new 'tools' that you can find a drift on the sea these days.
Despite the good 'brand' of many of them, very few managed to impress so much to induce more than a leg-shake or half-a-head-bang... And you can include new Magadeth among them too.
Here's Cpt. NEW-HITS selection! Serious stuff! Fasten seat belt, tight your helemet, 'cause they're gonna get you unstoppable! A juggernaut banging frenzy that will fuck up your neck!
Trust my judgment, or do the homework by yourselves this time!
A fantastic MELODIC/DEATH (Astralia); a majestic HEAVY/POWER return (Germany), a new HEAVY/DOOM brick (US... NOTE: uncle J. Stump in charge of shredding!), a renewed HEAVY (Canada... NOTE: great new product, with significant changes).
Stay tuned and don't forget the magic word: portroyal !
